Billing & Subscription
Official guide · English · Version 9c253d0cf11816df
The Billing page is your central hub for managing your subscription, monitoring usage quotas, viewing invoices, and switching between plans. Monthly and yearly prices are configured separately for each supported currency. The available payment path depends on the selected currency and enabled billing provider; do not assume every plan uses Stripe.
Accessing Billing
Navigate to Dashboard > Billing from the sidebar.
Current Plan
The Current Plan card on the left shows your active subscription details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Plan | The name of your current plan (e.g., Trial, Starter, Professional, Enterprise). |
| Type | The plan category -- Chat, Website, or Bundle. |
| Status | Whether the plan is Active, on a Trial, or Expired. For trial plans, shows days remaining. |
| Trial Ends / Renews / Cancels | The next important date for your subscription. |
Billing Period
If you have an active paid subscription, you can toggle between Monthly and Yearly billing directly from this card. Switching takes effect at the next billing cycle.
Management Actions
- Manage Billing -- Opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can update payment methods, view invoices, and manage your subscription.
- Cancel Subscription -- Cancels your subscription at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until the period ends.
Info: When you cancel a subscription, it remains active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged again, but access continues until that date.
Usage & Limits
The Usage & Limits section shows real-time quota consumption for your account:
The Usage page also shows a dedicated AI reply quota card using this same subscription counter. One AI-generated customer response consumes one unit. Incoming customer messages, human replies and predefined Auto Reply sends do not consume this allowance; the separate Incoming, Outgoing and Total Messages cards are activity statistics.
| Quota | Description |
|---|---|
| AI replies | Monthly allowance of AI-generated customer answers, not incoming customer messages or unique customers. Shows used/limit with a progress bar. |
| Products | Number of products in your catalog versus the plan limit. |
| Voice Minutes | Minutes of voice-to-text and text-to-speech processing used. |
| AI Images | One shared monthly allowance for Generate All images, Replace BG and new background previews. Uploads use a separate limit. |
| Website Pages | Number of storefront/website pages (if applicable to your plan). |
| Storage | Media storage used in MB/GB versus your plan limit. |
What the allowance labels mean
- 500 messages/mo means 500 AI-generated replies per month. It does not mean only 500 incoming customer messages, 500 customers, or 500 individual internal model calls.
- Predefined Auto Reply sends are free of DirectSale AI-reply charges, have no monthly send allowance, and do not consume AI reply credits. They can continue after the AI reply allowance is exhausted. Limits on the number of saved rules, files per rule, storage, security/rate limits, and any external messaging-provider charges are separate.
- 30 STT / 30 TTS min means two separate monthly allowances. STT (Speech-to-Text) converts received speech to text; TTS (Text-to-Speech) produces spoken audio. Thirty minutes of each is not a shared 60-minute pool and does not mean 30 voice messages.
- 1 widget domain means one authorized website domain for embedding the chat widget under the domain settings. It is not one page, one visitor, or an included domain registration. Multiple widget domains share the tenant's subscription allowances.
- Products, pages, and team members describe stored catalog capacity, website content pages, and panel team capacity respectively; they are not monthly sales, page views, or chat visitors.
- Storage (MB) measures stored files, not monthly traffic. AI image, description, blog and page-content credits are separate generation allowances, not chat reply credits.
- Monthly allowances follow the account quota-reset schedule, including on annually billed subscriptions.
Currency and current prices
The supported price currencies are USD, EUR, GBP, IRR (Iranian rial), and IRT (Iranian toman). Each currency has its own configured amount; no live exchange-rate calculation is implied. A yearly price is the total annual charge, not a monthly charge. If a currency or yearly price is not configured, do not derive one from another price.
Official support assistants may be enabled by an administrator to explain selected DirectSale plans in selected currencies. The administrator chooses from active direct-customer plans independently of the public pricing-page list; sharing plan information does not change checkout eligibility or payment methods. The assistant's live plan lookup checks current prices and availability; old guide examples and earlier conversation prices are not current quotes. Zero or empty paid-plan prices are not free offers. If no approved plan has a valid price in the requested currency, the assistant cannot quote it; this does not mean the platform has no subscription plans. The customer's language does not determine their currency. When no currency is requested, the support assistant uses its configured default. In the tenant Billing UI, IRR/IRT tenants see configured rial/toman subscription prices and Iranian payment options. Other tenant currencies see USD/EUR/GBP prices and international options. Dashboard and chatbot language do not select the payment region. Existing subscription management and payment history remain accessible after a currency change; changing tenant currency does not convert prices or cancel a subscription.
Progress Bar Colors
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Under 50% usage -- healthy. |
| Blue | 50-80% usage -- moderate. |
| Amber | 80-100% usage -- approaching limit. |
| Red | Over 100% -- limit exceeded. |
Reset Date
Usage quotas reset monthly. The reset date is displayed at the top of the usage section.
Warning: When a quota is exceeded, the corresponding feature is temporarily disabled until the quota resets or you upgrade your plan. For example, exceeding your message limit will pause chatbot responses.
Usage Charts
Two charts provide visual usage insights:
Message Trend (Last 7 Days)
A bar chart showing daily message volume for the past week. Below the chart:
- Total -- Sum of all messages in the 7-day period.
- Avg Per Day -- Average daily message count.
Platform Breakdown
Shows how messages are distributed across platforms (Web, Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.) for the current month. Each platform has a colored progress bar showing its share.
Choosing a Plan
Plan Categories
Plans are organized into three categories:
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| Chat | Plans focused on AI chatbot capabilities -- message limits, voice, and messaging platform access. |
| Website | Plans for the storefront/website builder -- product limits, storage, pages, and AI images. |
| Bundle | Combined Chat + Website plans at a discounted rate. |
Click the category tabs to browse plans in each category.
Monthly vs. Yearly Billing
Toggle between Monthly and Yearly at the top of the plans section. Yearly plans offer a discount (typically shown as a percentage badge).
Info: Yearly billing saves you money -- look for the green savings percentage badge on each plan card.
Plan Features
Each plan card displays:
- Price -- Monthly cost (or monthly equivalent for yearly plans).
- Feature List -- Included capabilities such as:
- Messages per month
- Voice messaging minutes
- Number of platforms
- Product limits
- Storage
- Website pages
- AI image generation
- Team members
- Custom branding and domain
- Priority support
- API access
Upgrading or Downgrading
- Find the plan you want.
- Click the Upgrade or Downgrade button.
- For paid plans:
- If Stripe is configured, you will be redirected to a Stripe Checkout page to enter payment details.
- If you already have an active Stripe subscription, the plan change takes effect immediately (prorated).
The Trial plan is granted once when an account is created. It cannot be selected again or renewed, and there is no permanent free subscription plan.
Plan Indicators
| Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Current Plan (outlined button) | This is your active plan. |
| Most Popular (purple badge) | The plan recommended for most users. |
| Upgrade (green button with up arrow) | Upgrade to a higher-tier plan. |
| Downgrade (orange outline with down arrow) | Switch to a lower-tier plan. |
Invoices
If you have paid invoices, they appear in the Invoices section:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Invoice Number | Unique invoice identifier. |
| Amount | The total amount charged. |
| Status | Paid, Sent, or Draft. |
| Date | When the invoice was issued. |
| Click the download icon to save the invoice as a PDF. |
Payment History
The Payment History table shows all payment transactions:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Date | When the payment was made. |
| Amount | The amount charged. |
| Gateway | The payment processor used (e.g., Stripe). |
| Status | Paid, Pending, or Failed. |
Trial Period
New accounts start with a free trial. During the trial:
- A trial countdown banner appears at the top of the billing page showing days remaining.
- When the trial has 3 or fewer days remaining, the banner turns red.
- When the trial expires, your account is suspended. Business features remain unavailable until you upgrade to a paid plan.
Info: Upgrade before your trial ends to ensure uninterrupted service. You can upgrade at any time during the trial.
Alerts and Warnings
The billing page displays contextual warnings:
| Alert | Description |
|---|---|
| Limits Exceeded (red banner) | One or more quotas have been exceeded. An upgrade is recommended. |
| Approaching Limits (amber banner) | Usage is above 80% on one or more quotas. |
| Cancellation Scheduled (orange banner) | Your subscription is set to cancel at the end of the current period. |
| Payment Success (green banner) | Shown after the API confirms the tenant-owned payment. A redirect alone is not proof of payment. |
| Payment Canceled (amber banner) | Shown if you canceled the checkout process. |
Troubleshooting
Returning from a payment provider
For prepaid Zarinpal or Bale subscriptions, the callback page checks the saved payment and displays checking, completed, pending, error or accounting review. Use Retry for pending or unavailable confirmation, then Back to Billing to inspect the subscription and payment history. An accounting review means the receipt was recorded but applying access requires investigation; do not buy again to resolve it. Keep the payment reference when contacting support.
Older Stripe success links redirect to Billing with their checkout session identifier. Billing verifies that identifier with the API before showing success. Neither opening a success URL nor refreshing it creates a new paid subscription.
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Payment fails at checkout | Verify your card details and that your bank is not blocking the transaction. |
| Plan not changing after payment | Wait a moment and refresh the page. Contact support if it persists. |
| Quota not resetting | Quotas reset on a monthly cycle from your subscription start date, not the calendar month. |
| Cannot downgrade | Ensure your current usage fits within the lower plan's limits (e.g., reduce products if exceeding the lower plan's product limit). |
