Understand DirectSale AI. Build your first customer journey.
The same central guide used by dashboard Help and Smart Help. Read the complete platform overview, follow setup steps, or browse a feature below.
Canonical guide language: English · Content version 9c253d0cf11816df. Features depend on your plan, permissions, region and connections. For current prices, see Pricing or your Billing page.
Platform overview
DirectSale AI is a web-based platform for managing AI-assisted customer conversations, a product catalog, an online storefront and day-to-day sales operations. A business manages its own workspace, content, connections and team from the tenant dashboard. It can use a sales chatbot on an existing website or messaging channel, build a storefront, or combine these workflows according to its subscription.
This official platform guide is shared with the in-dashboard Help Center and Smart Help. It describes capabilities, not a promise that every feature is enabled in every account. Availability depends on subscription, permissions, tenant currency, connected provider and configuration. Consult Billing or the public Pricing section for current prices and exact allowances; this guide is not a price quote.
Who the platform is for
Retail businesses can use product facts, images, stock and prices to support buying conversations. Service businesses can describe services and, where enabled, manage appointments. Mixed businesses can combine products and services. Business Profile explains what the business actually offers so the assistant is not presented as a generic product shop when that does not fit.
The platform does not replace a merchant's review of prices, claims, policies, generated content or customer orders. AI output can be wrong and should be checked before use.
AI sales conversations and business knowledge
Chat Studio configures the customer-facing assistant's business introduction, tone, response language, greeting, product presentation, voice and handoff behavior. Test real questions after saving. Product recommendations use the catalog and supported use cases; Knowledge Base supplies business guides, FAQs and policies.
Auto Replies provides prepared responses for matching triggers. In supported AI response modes, matching Auto Replies are considered before generating an AI answer. Prepared sends do not consume AI-reply credits; stored-rule limits, provider restrictions, safety and rate controls are separate.
Conversations provides customer conversation history and human takeover controls. The website widget and each messaging connection have their own setup requirements. Connecting a channel is not the same as publishing a storefront.
Product catalog and AI content tools
Products stores names, brands, categories, variants, prices, stock, images and descriptions. Imports and catalog extraction help prepare larger catalogs, but extracted information must be reviewed. Quick Product Info holds source facts and specifications for AI generation.
The original description generator and the separate SEO + AI Beta workflow have different editing steps. The beta first proposes a keyword brief and localized URL, checks available SEO ownership and Search Console evidence, then generates content after approval. Save & apply writes the approved product preview. Existing URLs are preserved by this pilot to avoid silently changing live links.
Bulk AI generation supports scope, output language, regeneration choices and Stop. Skipped, queued, completed and failed work are different. Generating content does not publish an imported draft or certify product facts.
Supported product analysis can also fill empty brand, weight, package dimensions and Product Usage Notes. Existing values are preserved. Multiple documented weights use the largest value; package dimensions take precedence over product dimensions for shipping fields.
Storefront, pages and blog
The storefront builder provides setup, templates, homepage sections, navigation, product presentation, pages and blog content. Merchants can edit generated text and visual layouts. SEO settings, keyword tools and a Search Console connection support planning and performance review; they do not guarantee rankings or traffic.
Storefront previews are private, temporary sessions opened from the dashboard. Public publishing requires the merchant's verified custom domain, active SSL and explicit publication. There is no permanent public tenant subdomain. Website publication, individual content publication and payment configuration are separate steps.
Messaging and existing stores
Messaging Channels includes connection workflows for supported platforms such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram and LINE. Iranian channel setup, including Bale, Eitaa and Rubika, is offered for eligible IRR/IRT accounts. A card marked Coming Soon is not an active integration.
Instagram can configure DMs, story replies and comments separately. Where enabled, public comment replies stay under the comment instead of being sent by DM. Private customer/order details and private commerce actions do not belong in public comment threads.
DirectSale's platform team confirms that the Instagram integration received Meta approval after approximately 20 days of review. The connection uses official authorization and API permissions, not an unauthorized connection method. Account activity must still comply with Meta's rules; approval is not immunity from restrictions. See Instagram account safety.
Multichannel tools connect supported external commerce systems and track synchronization. Linked-store and inventory workflows are separate from messaging bots. Verify supported operations, sync direction and field ownership before synchronizing a live catalog.
Checkout, orders and operations
Hosted Checkout lets customers pay using the merchant's configured payment methods. External Cart Sync can hand the purchase to a supported existing commerce store. Customer-payment gateways are separate from subscription payments to DirectSale.
IRR/IRT tenant currency enables eligible Iranian payment choices; other supported currencies select international choices. Panel or chatbot language does not choose the payment region. A gateway still needs valid credentials and provider support. Bale Pay uses a dedicated payment bot and its connected wallet provider token.
Orders, shipping, coupons, returns and cart recovery help manage sales where included in the account. Accounting provides its own records and reports. Review confirmed payment and order status before fulfillment; returning from a payment app alone is not proof of payment.
Team, reporting and media
Team roles control access to settings and operational sections. Media Library manages uploaded assets. Analytics and usage screens help monitor supported activity and allowances. Passwords and payment credentials belong only in authorized settings, never in a public article or Help question.
Languages, currency and allowances
The platform supports English, Persian, Arabic, Turkish, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Polish, Dutch, Hindi, Urdu and Hebrew for supported AI language settings. The central guide is currently authored in English; Smart Help can answer grounded questions in these languages when enabled.
Tenant currency and dashboard display language are independent. An actual currency change resets business-language defaults: IRR/IRT uses Persian and RTL; USD/EUR/GBP uses English defaults. Manual language changes can follow, until the next actual currency change. Existing catalog text, amounts and financial records are not automatically translated or converted.
Each plan price is configured independently in USD, EUR, GBP, IRR or IRT. No exchange-rate conversion is implied. Annual prices are total annual amounts. An unavailable currency price is not a free offer.
500 messages/mo means 500 AI-generated customer replies, not 500 incoming messages. STT minutes measure input speech converted to text; TTS minutes measure generated speech. Widget domains are authorized website domains, not purchased domains or visitor allowances. Other generation, storage and team limits depend on the plan.
Help and getting started
Use the Complete Learning Directory for task-level tutorials across the platform, including accounting operations, connected tenants, every major storefront workflow and account care.
Follow the launch checklist to prepare one working channel before enabling more. The Smart Help guide explains language, privacy and availability. Billing explains allowances; Checkout covers receiving customer payments.
Public Help provides the same official article text without requiring a login, together with a full-text version for reading and retrieval. Public availability does not guarantee that a search engine or AI assistant indexes, cites or learns the material. Consult the current linked article when an older generated answer conflicts with current behavior.
