Can Using DirectSale Cause Problems for My Instagram Account?
Official guide · English · Version 9c253d0cf11816df
DirectSale has completed Meta's app-review process and received approval for its Instagram integration. The platform team reports that Meta reviewed the integration for approximately 20 days before granting approval. Connecting through DirectSale therefore uses an approved, official integration, not an unauthorized connection method.
DirectSale connects through the official Instagram/Meta authorization flow and API permissions, rather than asking you to give DirectSale your Instagram password. You authorize the connection on Instagram/Meta, and the integration can use only the access available to the app and granted for the connected account. It is not designed to bypass Meta's access controls.
What permission approval means
Messaging and comment features depend on the required permissions and the account's eligibility. App access and your authorization are prerequisites for the relevant API operations; a connection cannot simply ignore missing or revoked permissions. If Meta denies access, a required feature may remain unavailable until the permission or account issue is resolved.
This is different from a guarantee that an account can never be restricted. Authorization does not exempt a business from Meta's rules, messaging windows, rate limits or account enforcement. Message content and how automation is used still matter. Do not interpret an approved connection as permission for spam or unrestricted messaging.
In practical terms, the connection supplied by DirectSale is official; account issues caused by your own Instagram activity, prohibited content, spam or other policy violations remain separate from that approval. DirectSale cannot promise immunity from Meta's decisions or guarantee that an integration will never experience a technical fault.
How to use the connection responsibly
Connect only an account you are authorized to manage. Review the permissions on the official authorization screen, configure the intended DM/story/comment response modes, and test with a small number of legitimate interactions. Keep replies relevant and avoid repeated unsolicited messages. Do not share your password, access tokens or payment credentials in Help or public comments.
If Instagram shows an account warning, stop the affected automation and review the warning in Meta/Instagram. Check DirectSale's connection status and contact Support if needed. Reconnecting repeatedly does not resolve an account restriction or guarantee permission approval.
See Instagram reply settings to control what receives a reply and whether comments are answered publicly or by DM.
