Business Profile and Greetings

Open Chat Studio > Chatbot Settings > Business Profile. Choose the business type and fill Introduce Your Business with a plain-language explanation of the business, customers, products or services and how it helps them. The description supports up to 3,000 characters. It is separate from the storefront About page and Knowledge Base.
Write useful business information
Describe the actual business rather than the AI model: “We supply garden tools to homeowners and landscaping teams. We help customers compare documented specifications.” For services, describe services and audience instead of treating every conversation as a product purchase.
Do not enter passwords, payment tokens, HTML, scripts, hidden instructions or requests to override the assistant's rules. Use the catalog for live product facts and the appropriate settings for operational policies. A profile does not authorize discounts, payments, private-data access or changes to other accounts.
Save and review status
Save All submits changed profile content for the configured business-profile review. Approved content can be saved; rejected content needs revision. Review required needs platform review. Unavailable means the review did not finish, not that a prohibited-content decision was made. Preserve text and follow the displayed next step or contact Support.
Administrator approval does not activate a draft by itself; resave when instructed. If Save All fails, do not assume other fields in that request were saved. This separate business-profile check does not require Safeguard approval for every product or storefront edit.
Configure the greeting
Choose an available AI greeting style or an explicit custom template. Business information can guide an AI introduction; a custom template keeps your wording. Category and brand introduction controls select what to mention where enabled. Test a new conversation after saving so old conversation context does not obscure the result.
Language and later edits
The description's language does not replace response-language settings. Currency changes reset business-language defaults as described in Settings; manually adjust supported language settings afterwards if needed. Existing business text is not automatically translated.
