DirectSale allows you to invite team members to help manage your business. Each team member gets their own login credentials and can access different parts of the dashboard based on their assigned role.

Overview

The Team page provides a centralized view of all team members on your account. From here you can:

  • View the account owner and all invited team members
  • Invite new members via email
  • Assign and change roles to control what each person can access
  • Activate or deactivate team members
  • Remove team members entirely
  • Resend invitations if a member has not accepted yet
  • Track member status (active, invited, or inactive)
  • Monitor last login dates

Accessing the Team Page

Navigate to Dashboard > Team (located under the Account section in the sidebar, or go directly to /dashboard/team).

Team Page Layout

Account Owner

At the top of the page, a card displays the account owner's information, including the store name and email address. The owner always has full access to all features and cannot be removed or have their role changed.

Members List

Below the owner card, all invited team members are listed as individual cards. Each card shows:

Information Description
Display Name The name of the team member.
Email The email address used for login.
Role A color-coded badge showing the member's role (Admin, Manager, Operator, Viewer).
Status A color-coded badge showing whether the member is Active, Invited, or Inactive.
Last Login The date of the member's most recent login (shown on larger screens).
Actions Menu A three-dot menu with management options (visible only to Owner and Admin).

Plan Limit

Your subscription plan determines how many team members you can have. The current count is displayed next to the "Invite Member" button (e.g., "2 / 5"). When you reach your plan limit:

  • The "Invite Member" button becomes disabled
  • A warning banner appears at the bottom of the page
  • You need to upgrade your plan to add more members

Member Statuses

Status Color Description
Active Green The member has accepted their invitation and can log in.
Invited Yellow An invitation has been sent but not yet accepted.
Inactive Red The member's account has been deactivated by an owner or admin.

Managing Team Members

Changing a Member's Role

  1. Click the three-dot menu on the member's card.
  2. Select one of the available role options (e.g., "Change to Admin", "Change to Operator").
  3. The role updates immediately.

Info: You can only change roles to: Admin, Manager, Operator, or Viewer. The Owner role is unique to the account creator. You cannot assign the Accountant role from this menu -- it must be set during the invitation.

Deactivating / Activating a Member

  1. Click the three-dot menu on the member's card.
  2. Click "Deactivate" (or "Activate" if currently inactive).
  3. Deactivated members cannot log in but their data is preserved.

Removing a Member

  1. Click the three-dot menu on the member's card.
  2. Click "Remove".
  3. Confirm the action in the confirmation dialog.

Warning: Removing a team member is permanent. Their account and login credentials are deleted. If they need access again, you will need to send a new invitation.

Resending an Invitation

If a team member has not accepted their invitation (status is "Invited"):

  1. Click the three-dot menu on the member's card.
  2. Click "Resend Invitation".
  3. A new invitation email is sent to the member.

Who Can Manage the Team?

Only users with the Owner or Admin role can manage the team. This includes:

  • Inviting new members
  • Changing roles
  • Activating/deactivating members
  • Removing members
  • Resending invitations

Users with other roles (Manager, Accountant, Operator, Viewer) can see the team page but cannot perform any management actions. The "Invite Member" button and action menus are hidden from them.
