Import Products from a PDF Catalog
Official guide · English · Version 9c253d0cf11816df
Open Products > Add Products > PDF Catalog or the catalog-import entry offered in your panel. AI extracts draft product facts and original photos. It does not automatically publish the products.
Before you start
Use a readable PDF you are authorized to reuse. Review displayed file, product and upload limits; platform configuration can limit extraction. Confirm the consent that pages are sent to external AI services. Keep enough time to review private previews before their stated retention expires.
Extract and review
- Choose the PDF file and accept the extraction consent.
- Select Extract with AI once.
- Follow preparing pages, identifying products, reviewing models/source pages and reading details.
- If the job waits to continue automatically, inspect its state rather than uploading the same catalog again.
- When Ready for review, select the intended products.
- Compare each name and Quick Product Info with the source pages. Multiple explicit model rows should be reviewed separately.
- Inspect assigned original photos and exclude incorrect ones. A shared image may legitimately illustrate multiple variants.
- Correct factual draft fields and confirm you have reviewed the selected information and image rights.
- Select Save inactive drafts and inspect the imported/skipped counts.
What is saved
Only the selected name, Quick Product Info and original-photo selections are imported through this workflow. Products remain inactive, prices start at zero and stock is unavailable. Descriptions/backgrounds and the usual product AI processing are not automatically generated.
Open Products afterward to set SKU/brand where needed, prices/currency, stock, categories, measurements and visibility. Run AI Content or SEO + AI after correcting facts. Inactive drafts can be excluded from bulk-generation scopes.
Stop and recover
Stop extraction stops further requests once confirmed by the server. An already-sent request may finish and be charged. Closing the page is not Stop. Completed previews and reported usage remain; a stopped job does not automatically resume.
Use Recent catalogs to reopen a job. Retry unfinished work is for an eligible interrupted job, not a promise to repeat every completed step. If the API connection is lost, use Retry connection and inspect the current job before uploading again.
Verification and troubleshooting
Compare source page references, model names, units and image assignments, especially tables with multiple models. If a product limit is reached, additional catalog products may be omitted. If no products are identified, check readability and whether the PDF is actually a catalog. A file-size issue, extraction limit and AI/provider failure are different problems; include the exact message when contacting Support.
Private PDF sources/previews have limited retention, shown in the UI; saved product facts/images follow their own storage lifecycle. Save the reviewed drafts before relying on a temporary preview as your only copy.
