Product Storefront Display and Custom Product Pages
Official guide · English · Version 9c253d0cf11816df
Use the product's storefront/page-builder entry to control how an individual product is presented. This is separate from editing the catalog record used for price, stock and AI recommendations.
Before you start
Save the product first. Review its name, descriptions, SEO, variants, images and commercial data. Decide whether you want the normal product template or a custom visual page. A custom layout can display content different from the normal description.
Configure and inspect
- Open Products > Storefront or the page-builder action for the selected product, as offered in your panel.
- Review storefront-specific content/visibility controls.
- Open the custom page editor when a product-specific layout is needed.
- Edit blocks and formatting using the editor's supported controls.
- Save the editor and use the authorized storefront preview.
- Compare desktop/mobile output, links, images and the buy/variant controls.
- Verify the actual product price and stock still come from the intended catalog/central source.
AI content and custom layouts
Save & apply in the product SEO pilot updates supported saved description/SEO fields. It does not necessarily replace independently authored visual blocks. If an AI description appears saved in Products but not on the site, check whether a custom product page overrides its presentation.
See Product SEO + AI and Visual Editor. A product active switch or editor Save does not publish a storefront without the required domain/publication conditions.
Save and share a product layout
Use Save as template beside Template library in the product Section Editor. Saving adds a named library entry; it does not assign it to products. Select it at Storefront > Design > Default product content template for inheriting products, or use Page source and help > Layout source to link a specific product and then Publish layout. Product-specific and category overrides take priority over the store default. Read Section Templates for the complete save, copy, link, update and deletion workflow.
To place specifications below the description, keep them in separate top-level sections. Two blocks inside one Row / Columns section can display beside each other on desktop. Check the active Layout source before assuming a different product uses the same saved layout.
Verification and troubleshooting
Wrong text: inspect catalog description, storefront description and custom page separately. Missing product: check active/visibility settings, category, stock policy and the correct tenant preview/domain. Broken layout: check responsive settings and unsupported HTML. Preserve a known-good layout before replacing blocks.
Use Domain and Publication for preview versus public access.
