Importing Products from a Website

Official guide · English · Version 9c253d0cf11816df

Use Web Scraper or Scraper1, where available, to discover product information from a website you are authorized to use. For an owned store with an available API, Store API Import can be more appropriate.

Before you start

Confirm permission to reuse the content and photos. Use a public product/category URL; do not supply an administrator URL, login cookies, tokens or private network addresses. Website layouts and access rules affect extraction. A discovery result is not verified stock or a license to republish content.

Web Scraper workflow

  1. Open Web Scraper and enter the intended category URL.
  2. Review the extraction options/limits and start scraping.
  3. Inspect returned products and select only the intended records.
  4. Compare names, source URLs, variants and prices against the source.
  5. Use the save action once, then inspect the saved Products list.
  6. If the page shows pending AI processing, inspect its status before using Reprocess pending.

Scraper1 workflow

  1. Enter the supported website input and maximum product count.
  2. Start analysis and inspect the reported discovery stages and warnings.
  3. Review deduplicated product results; select the records you want.
  4. Import the selected products.
  5. Open Products to review descriptions, currency, stock, images and active status before selling.

Scraper1 may try public APIs, sitemaps and listing-page analysis. It does not guarantee every product or variant will be discovered. These are distinct screens; options visible in one are not necessarily present in the other.

Verification and troubleshooting

If no products are returned, check URL type, public access and whether the page actually lists products. Do not attempt to bypass login, access restrictions or an anti-bot challenge. For partial results, narrow the source or use an authorized CSV/API/PDF workflow. After an interrupted save, search Products before importing the same set again.

Keep the source language and units accurate. Run AI description generation only after correcting the imported facts; AI cannot restore missing source specifications reliably.
