AI Financial Analysis

Open Accounting > Reports > Financial Analysis for an evidence-linked interpretation of calculated accounting metrics. The accounting engine supplies the figures; the AI explains them and does not replace the ledger.
Before you start
Use a valid reporting range and sufficiently complete posted accounting data. Check missing costs, unbalanced reports and mixed currencies first. This tool is not professional financial or tax advice and does not post adjustments or move money.
Generate and review
- Select start and end dates.
- Select Generate analysis. Changing dates alone does not call the AI.
- Review the selected and comparison periods and generated timestamp.
- Inspect Verified financial metrics, including revenue, expenses, profit, margin, cash and overdue balances.
- Open the listed sources and compare figures with the source reports.
- Read data-quality warnings before the executive summary, strengths, risks and recommendations.
- Distinguish labeled Fact from Inference, and review confidence and priority where shown.
Incomplete data
Warnings can include missing period/comparison activity, unbalanced trial balance or balance sheet, mixed currencies requiring conversion, missing product cost and unavailable revenue trends. Some conditions withhold an AI narrative while keeping calculated metrics visible. Missing data is not zero performance or a clean bill of health.
Verify and troubleshoot
If generation fails, retain the selected dates and inspect the exact error. Do not repeatedly call AI while the source-data issue remains. Correct source records through their proper workflow, regenerate reports and then request a new analysis if needed.
Use Reports, Aging and Discrepancy Checks to investigate source evidence. The output does not automatically change budgets, prices, invoices or accounts.
