Accounting Products

The Accounting > Products screen provides a catalog view for accounting and inventory work. It is not a second independent stock ledger.

Before you start

Check the product's identity, SKU, category, currency and whether it is controlled by a linked hub. Physical measurements affect shipping; cost price affects margin interpretation. Do not use a sale price as the purchase cost.

Add or edit

  1. Open Accounting Products and search/filter by the intended product or category.
  2. Use Add for a new product, or Edit on an existing row.
  3. Review name, SKU, category, image and description.
  4. Enter the appropriate base, sale and cost prices, stock quantity, low-stock threshold and stock status.
  5. Review weight and length/width/height in the displayed units and the active switch.
  6. Save and reopen the product to verify the stored data.
  7. For the expandable inline editor, use its own Save action; collapsing a row is not a save.

Sorting and stock work

Use column sorting and category/search filters to find records. Check both numeric quantity and stock status rather than assuming a status label adjusts quantity. For warehouse balances, physical counts or stock movements, use Inventory.

Verification and troubleshooting

If a centrally controlled field is rejected, change it at the hub or review the link's synchronization scope. If a product seems missing, remove filters and confirm active status and tenant. Check invoices and stock history before deleting products used in transactions. Do not recreate an existing product simply to change its image or price.

Use Product Editing for variants, SEO, AI content and storefront-specific details.
